He'nee'con'a'mux'soo, Greetings! My Girlfriend's dad is a full blood 'Renegade Cherokee' from the Black Hills of South Dakota. She is also Black and Jewish. So much for the Cherokees fighting on the other side during the Civil War. I understand that Cherokees were split, on fought on both sides, just as the rest of our nation.
I grew up in New Jersey, born, raised, south of the Watchung Mountains. Caught many fire-flies and got eaten by Mosquitos, graduated from Plainfield H.S. and Rutgers University in '68; studied pre-veterinary medicine. So, beside being a 'Member of the Tribe', I am Lenape too! Jerry Sobel, mostly racing sailboats and installing solar systems, in Santa Monica, CA.
