he' brothers and sisters, it does my heart well to see yet another lenape website. sometimes it seems that we are lacking in this departmnent. the pc is such a european tool that many indians never care to learn them or care about them.i read some of the articles that are posted and i must say that i too have found lenape burial grounds of the wolf clan on the wapotomica, potomac river dividing maryland and virginia. it waws documented by the smithsonian institute in d.c. the last settlement there was around 1759 or close to it, the village was on the conicocheague and potomac rivers where the y meet outside of williamsport, m.d i have seen the displaced stones where the site was raided and pillaged. yes, i use those harsh terms because it saddens my heart to know that people are that uncaring and disrespectfull to my ancesters. yes iam from the unami clan out of oklahoma band of delawares, tribal #56098. my kin are dug up and disturbed all of the time, but i know that the dead will take care of those who disturb them too. my family holds down the lenape southern border here on the potomac, i think we are the last delawares in the area, we all split up to anadarko, o.k , bartlesville, o.k, caanada , and scattered elsewhere too. these ancestral lands here call out to me everytime that i go hunting or camping out in these woods. i hear the elders from the past speaking to me in the winds that blow thru the cedars, oaks and hickories that provide the tall forest canopy. it is the most beutiful place on earth. look after those burial sites, do whatever you can to protect them, look after mother earth and worship the best you can, whether christian or traditional, i love all you lenape inabi out there, be good to yourselves and remember that we owned all of this before and by the end comes again it will all be ours again. wanishi
