I just read a book about the Lenape Indians. It's called Standing in the light. It's about a girl and her brother being captured by the Lenape Indian's, and the girl soon finds out that a hunter in the tribe named Snow Hunter, in English. Then the English slodiers find then and they do not want to go, then they end up going, and she stays with her father and mother, and never sees the Indian's again. I personally thik that she should have gone back with the Indian's because it would have been better in my mind, Unless the boy, Snow Hunter, who was also English at one time, died in the journey. Inwhich they found a boy named John McCloud that had died in the atttck by the Englishmen. But I think it was a great book and it really interested me in this sort of thing. I am half Cherokee Indian, and just found this out by a good man named Shadow Hawk. I am really interested in learning in Lenape Indian's. They are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
